Regional Manager- IT Support

Our client is a leading global vendor in infrastructure software and solutions.

They are currently looking for high caliber candidates to join their regional IT team for supporting their organization in the Asia Pacific region.

Key Objective of the role:

This position is a regional role to manage and lead the internal IT support team to provide efficient IT service support for the whole pacific region. The job holder will be a leader in the pacific region to drive the efficiency and effectiveness of the regional IT operational support service.

Report to: Regional IT Director

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the IT service support team in the pacific region.
  • Monitor and review the team structure and workflow to ensure the high efficiency of the whole supporting system.
  • Provide regular management reports and advices to management for the IT service support area in the region.
  • Provide process and procedural improvement plan.
  • Develop documentation and guideline for the service support area.
  • Budget and resources planning
  • To be the escalation point of the IT service support issues.
  • Provide assistances and advices to the IT Director for service support improvement issues.

Skills and Attributes Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge in Microsoft operating environment
  • Solid experience of IT service support
  • Knowledge in virtualization technologies
  • Knowledge in Networking and LAN/WAN technologies
  • People management/ Team-leading experience
  • Project Management experience is preferred
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A good team player

Business Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years experience in IT service support.
  • Minimum 2 years management/ team-leading experience
  • Regional exposure is an additional advantage

Academic and Language Requirements:

  • University degree in Information Technology or related discipline e.g. MIS, Computer Science
  • Microsoft certificates holder (MCSE/ MCSA/ MCP)
  • ITIL Foundation and PMP certificate preferred
  • High proficiency in spoken English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
  • High proficiency in written English and Chinese.
