Our client, a global chemical company is seeking a competent and experienced chemical professional to take up the role of Laboratory & Quality Control Manager for their plant in Southern China: Responsibilities: - Responsible for the daily operation of the QC department and smooth running of the testing laboratory
- Manage the QC team and chemists to perform raw material and final products testing and inspection in compliance with corporate quality specifications & procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement in quality and reliability capability of the QC department
- Handle customer complaints and trouble shooting
- Liaise and work closely with overseas headquarters and internal departments on quality issues
- Station in Southern China (5-day)
Requirements: - Master degree or PhD in Chemistry is a must
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience in laboratory management and quality control in chemical fields, preferably with sizable companies
- Exposure to chemical manufacturing a definite advantage
- Solid experience in the usage of GC, HPLC, AAS, ICP & IR and good knowledge of international standard and quality systems.
- Experience in managing PRC chemists and technicians
- Strong leadership, organization & communication skills
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Mandarin
