A reputable toy buying office is seeking the following competent individual: Responsibilities: - Planning and management of logistics functions to ensure on-time execution of global shipments
- Coordination/handling of all shipping documentation, bills negotiation with bank, and purchase orders to suppliers.
- Consolidation and container shipment planning.
- Planning and coordination with suppliers to ensure shipment schedule adherence.
- Coordinate with inventory/production planning managers in US/HK/China offices to ensure smooth operation.
- Manage, coordinate and negotiate with carriers/forwarders.
- Manage the distribution/fulfillment function at the 3PL warehouses in HK/China.
Requirements: - Degree holder or above, preferably in business, operations, or logistics-related field.
- At least 8 - 10 years of relevant working experience in managing the logistics and shipping functions, preferably gained in a US buying office.
- Able to handle full set of I/E documents, shipping documents, and L/C negotiations with banks.
- Previous experience dealing with the logistics requirements of major global retailers
- Previous experience dealing and negotiating with shipping lines, air/sea freight forwarders and 3rd Party consolidators.
- Knowledge of Tradelink and good hands-on computer skills
- Willing to make frequent travel/station trips in China and to travel extensively to other vendors.
- Flexible and results-oriented individual
- Excellent communications skills in English (spoken and written), Cantonese and Mandarin.
