Our client is a regional conglomerate and a developer with expansion plan to grow their China portfolio with a special interest in Shopping Malls (all self-owned). We are now recruiting a head-quarter functional head of projects / constructions management to be based in China to oversee a portfolio of projects at various stages and cities which will continue to grow cautiously. You will be responsible for the following :

• Establish, maintain and improve construction management system to ensure quality delivery, cost effective delivery and timely completion of projects.

• Managing projects in different cities during pre-design, design, construction and completion phases.

• To prepare budget and control cost upon instruction from the senior management.

• Measure the on going performance of each project, compared to initial programs, budgets and schedules, taking corrective action as needed.

• Monitor and report on the project management resources engaged on each project, properly allocating these resources to complete each project on schedule and within budget.

• To plan and manage preventative maintenance and renovation of existing malls with special focus on energy management, innovations and value for money.

• To supervise work tendering and to administer quotations and contracts.

• To manage contractors for coordinating and monitoring the progress of projects.

Requirements :

• Minimum 12 years developer’s working experience in managing shopping mall or real estate construction works, with at least 8 years in supervisory level.

• Experience in design, construction and project management is essential.

• Solid experience in managing development projects for shopping mall or large scale mixed-use complex will be a definite advantage

• A degree in a Building Services Engineering or Construction or Project Management.

• Fluency in English and Chinese.
