The Airport Authority is inviting applications for the position of Executive Director, Finance (ED Finance). Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the ED Finance is a key member of the senior management team that is responsible for the formulation of the major policies of the Airport Authority and its execution after obtaining approval of the Board to those policies.
As Head of Finance Division, his/her main role is to formulate AA's strategies for its financial affairs with a view to ensuring that the business of the Airport Authority is conducted in accordance with prudent commercial principles and that its financial reports to its various stakeholders comply with best practice of publicly listed companies or similar bodies.
His/her key responsibilities include:
· formulation of the Authority's financing policies and its execution
· overseeing the preparation of the Authority's annual capital and operating budgets
· managing the financial exposure of the Authority
· preparation of financial reports for internal and external reporting in conformity with best practice
These responsibilities will demand the effective leadership in accounting and financial management including Treasury, as well as close liaison with the stakeholders including the Board and financial institutions.
The successful candidate will be professionally qualified in accountancy with at least 10 years of post qualification experience. He/she should possess substantial experience of at least 5 years at Finance Director or Chief Financial Officer level, of a sizable listed company or similar organisation. The candidate should also have strong business acumen and a strategic outlook. Strong language skills in both oral and written English and Chinese are prerequisites, with proficiency in Putonghua a distinct advantage. China experience is desirable.
