Our client is a leading global publishing firm that provides online, print and cross-media communication solutions. They urgently need to recruit a high caliber Production Manager, to be responsible for planning, coordination and control of production operations. Responsibilities • Develop and enforce policies and procedures through regular communication with staff and co-ordination with team leaders • Evaluate specifications for materials and provide solutions for revising project design to improve costs or production feasibility • Monitor production schedules, inventory, staff availability and equipment status to anticipate and address potential problem areas • Ensure all creative expectations are understood and advise of any added-value knowledge • Oversee and support quality management system programs and initiatives, providing input for improvements to the Quality Assurance Manager where necessary Requirements • 7-10 years experience managing print production programs • Post-secondary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience in an agency environment • Ability to problem solve and recommend production/design-appropriate solutions • Excellent project management and time/schedule management skills • Proficient on PC and/or Mac Platform with strong MS Office skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Microsoft Project skills is be an asset
