Our client is a leading Asian Banking Group with established businesses in Corporate and Retail Banking. As part of their commitment to the Asia Pacific region, they are currently setting up a new business line in Hong Kong. To support the business, they have created a new opportunity for an experienced Compliance professional to join their team.
Reporting to the Senior Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting the development of compliance regulations, standards, workflow process and AML/KYC procedures for their new line of business. You will engage in resolving regulatory issues and liaise with HKMA on any queries or licensing matters. Lastly, you will provide training and help promote compliance awareness within the group.
To qualify, the individuals must possess:
- 6 to 8 years of Compliance experience gained within another well established financial institution
- Prior exposure to Retail or Private Banking Compliance would be preferred
- Exposure to investment products such as mutual funds, structured products, and FX deposits
- Strong knowledge of local rules and regulations
- Effective communication and presentation skills
- An analytical mindset with a proactive personality
- Proficient in written and spoken English, while additional Asian languages such as Cantonese or Mandarin would be beneficial
