Our client is a leading European investment bank with an exceptional global reputation. As part of their commitment and continual growth in Asia, an outstanding opportunity has arisen for a calibre professional to join their Product Control team in Cash Equities.
Reporting to the VP - Product Control, Cash Equities, you will be responsible for preparing and reporting the daily profit and loss of the equities trading desk and the cash equities agency business. You will perform verification of trade data, market data (price testing, provisions and models), P&L (validation, analysis and explanation), trades booking, valuation and revenue recognition and month-end accounting duties. In addition, you will verify the impact of market movements on portfolios and prepare commentaries on any significant variances. You will liaise between business units and traders, providing support for queries and analysis requests. You will participate in ad-hoc projects and new product initiatives.
To qualify, individuals must possess:
- A university degree and an internationally recognised accounting qualification
- Minimum 5 years' experience in product control in Cash Equities
- Strong knowledge of equities products
- Candidates with experience in other products will also be considered
- Excellent communication skills in English for cross business interactions
- A confident and highly driven individual with the desire to succeed
